Some of our Family members stayed at Surfsong for two nights, prior to a Tradewinds Cruise of the BVI. The accommodation is beautiful - they had a villa with two bedrooms, right on the water's edge. The villa was clean & well-equipped, with a big fridge-freezer for longer stays. We appreciated the ice-maker for cool drinks after the visits to Wells Beach, which we know well(!) from previous visits to Tortola. A car is really essential, as the weather generally, (even in March), is too hot for long walks to a grocery store. The walk from the secluded location of Surfsong, through the trees & bushes, to the road, is in itself quite long. The cost of frequent taxi rides becomes expensive. The only real downside for my family, was the lack of a small restaurant, for breakfast. Although a chef is available, this is a very costly option. I would recommend the Red Rock Restaurant for a good dinner - it's also in East End & takes only 5/10 minutes in a taxi. Unfortunately, it opens only at 3pm. Surf song is very convenient to the airport, so if you arrive on a later flight, there's only minutes before you can feel yourself relaxing in the comfort of Surfsong.
